Their dialysis unit is the premier dialysis care facility providing diagnosis and specialty care for infants, children and adolescents with short term or chronic kidney conditions, the only program of its kind in the State of Washington.

Seattle Children’s Hospital has recently made the unit bigger and brighter for enhanced comfort and privacy for patients and their families. Their state-of-the-art treatment program includes education and support for patients receiving dialysis at home, in addition to a summer camp for children with kidney disorders, a newsletter tailored for them and a website “Kids Health Page” that explains dialysis in simple terms that kids can understand.
