CHOC Children’s is hosting a 4-day international conference entitled
NeoHeart: Cardiovascular Management of the Neonate. For the first time, they have organized a platform where neonatologists, cardiologists, pediatric intensivists, cardiac surgeons, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and other nursing who care for Neonates with CHD will gather to discuss controversies in cardiovascular management of neonates.
Many controversies exist in the cardiovascular management of neonates. NeoHeart: Cardiovascular Management of the Neonate is the only platform available that brings together neonatologists, cardiologists, intensivists, and cardiac surgeons to discuss these challenging patients. NeoHeart strives to fill the knowledge gaps by emphasizing the importance of multi-disciplinary interaction, state of the art technology, and the most up-to-date research. As more cardiac surgical repair occurs in the neonatal period, it is imperative that the NICU and CVICU learn from each other to provide the best care possible.
