Assistant Clinical Professor - Primary Care and/or Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
This clinical faculty position is a full-time or part-time position in the Department of Family Health Care Nursing. Major responsibilities include: teach Advanced Practice Nursing students in the classroom and clinical setting with a focus in primary, chronic, and/or acute care pediatrics, schedule and supervise Nurse Practitioner (NP) students in the clinical environment for clinical rotations and service learning activities, support health promotion and grant activities related to chronic disease prevention (obesity, asthma, mental health, and/or oral health), advise of NP students in the program, and advance the NP role through scholarly activities. Clinical practice opportunities may be available as a percentage of the full-time or part-time position.

Assistant Clinical Professor - Family Nurse Practitioner Program
This clinical faculty position is potentially a full-time position (80-100% time) in the Department of Family Health Care Nursing. Major responsibilities include: Outreach to and development of clinical residency sites in California Health Professional Shortage areas/ areas of unmet need (UMN) including the Central Valley; provide training for inter-professional preceptors; manage Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) student placements at clinical residency sites; provide counseling for graduates to work in areas of UMN after graduation; serve as liaison to the National Health Service Corps and the CA Health Professions Educational Foundation; teach clinically-focused courses to NP students; provide didactic and clinical training in management of adults and children in primary care settings, evaluate student performance in interprofessional practice-based learning experiences, recruit and retain a talented and diverse student cohort, and advance the FNP role through scholarly activities. This position may possibly also serve as lead faculty (40%) for Global Health Nurse Fellows (GHNF) Program in Haiti and assessment of GHNF learning needs in international settings; provide training, educational, and mentoring support both in distance and on-the-ground format; evaluate and counsel GHNF performance in Haiti and in the US; work with the campus’ Global Health faculty and residents to assure excellent learning outcomes for GHN Fellows; working with others develop funding sources for project through grantsmanship, public relations and outreach; and work with Monitoring and Evaluation personnel to evaluate all project outcomes.
