Seattle Children’s Hospital has provided safe, high-quality medical care for children of the region for over 100 years. The hospital was recently named #3 in Dialysis by U.S. News & Report’s “Best Children’s Hospitals” rankings for 2012-13.  Their dialysis unit is the premier dialysis care facility providing diagnosis and specialty care for infants, children and adolescents with short term or chronic kidney conditions, the only program of its kind in the State of Washington.

Seattle Children’s Hospital

Seattle Children’s Hospital has embarked upon an expansion plan that will enhance their goal of providing children and their families with the best pediatric health care available. Phase One of this four-phase project is scheduled to begin in early 2011. The plan provides for an increase of 60-80 new inpatient beds by 2013 with a long range goal to increase the number of inpatient beds by 250-600 over the next twenty years. The first phase of the expansion includes an improved Emergency Department with a new helistop nearby. Materials used in the new building will match those of existing buildings and the current part-like setting will be enhanced and extended to include the new construction once it’s completed.
