Children's Hospitals Receive Holiday Gift Bags | Melnic Consulting Group

One of the true joys of the holiday season is the opportunity to spread happiness to others.  Melnic Consulting Group had the pleasure of spreading holiday cheer to children, families, and pediatric staff at leading children’s hospitals around the country. The Melnic team filled holiday bags with over 3,000 toys, games, crafts, stickers, and novelties that were delivered to children’s hospitals to help bring smiles to the patients and the family members of those undergoing care at this time of year.

Yummy snacks were also sent to the fabulous pediatric staff at children’s hospitals across the country to help them through the holidays and to show our unending admiration and gratitude for all that they do.

Best wishes for a wonderful holiday season and a happy and healthy new year!

Wishing you a week of contentment and joy. Thank you for all you do and give. Best Questions To Ask On Your Interview

Power Talk
February 15, 2009 by Michele Woodward

Last week our Results Club session featured a fascinating conversation (if I do say so myself) with John Kador, author of 201 Best Questions To Ask On Your Interview, among plenty of other books.

John was talking about how to answer that old job interview chestnut, “So. Tell me a little about yourself.” John’s suggested response? “I’d be happy to tell you about myself, but first, may I ask a question?”

If you were the interviewer, what would you say? I’d say, “Sure, go ahead.”

And, guess what? By asking a question first, you’ve effectively changed the course of the conversation. You have the full attention of the interviewer and you are now in charge.

Don’t blow the opportunity.

John suggested you ask a question that is eerily similar to my Best Job Interview Question Ever: “What expectations do you have for this position?”

Nurse Global Mission Trip Outreach Opportunities!!!!

Medical Nursing Global Mission Trips
Here are some great opportunities to share your amazing skills as a Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, in Pediatrics or Adult:

NURSES CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP
NCF began in the early 1940’s when small groups of Christian nurses in several cities began meeting to pray and support each other. They began reaching out to colleagues and to nursing students on clinical rotations in their hospitals. These groups eventually joined together, and became a national ministry of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship in 1948. We continue to encourage students, faculty and nurses to explore and connect Christian faith and nursing, and provide resources that help nurses practice nursing from a Christian Perspective.

Membership in NCF includes a subscription to the Journal of Christian Nursing which includes missions information; the West Coast Healthcare Missions conference, the Global Missions Healthcare Conference and the CCHF information.

International Medical Assistance
Short-Term Medical Mission Trips
Short-term trips are the core of our ministry and provide multiple opportunities to reach the people who have no access to medical care. We share the Love of God through Medicine.

Medical, surgical and dental supplies are brought to each project, and we set up modest but efficient surgical suites and consultation rooms to provide loving care to people who may have waited for years for help. Some of these unfortunate people thought they would have to live in deplorable conditions for their rest of their lives.

We provide one or two week opportunities for volunteers to work in medical, dental, surgical optical clinics.

IMA participants take one or two weeks of vacation time to go, serve and change lives…including their own.

Volunteers come from a variety of denominational traditions and backgrounds. We work together with a common goal to share the love of God through serving the poor in medical, surgical and dental projects. We share the gospel of Jesus Christ and give New Testaments to people.

Some projects are general medicine, surgery and dentistry. We need physicians, optometrists, opticians, nurses, techs, anesthesia, general helpers and teens.
