We currently have a particularly interesting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the team of the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at this leading academic children’s hospital in the Southwest region of the U.S.  The CNS advanced practitioner in this role is a clinician, educator, administrator, consultant and researcher with responsibilities that include planning, implementing and evaluating treatment in the CVICU, leading to improved care, outcomes and best practices.  They serve as an educational resource for patients and their families, other health care professionals and the community.  Serving as a change agent, they facilitate change that will positively affect patient outcomes, and they participate in quality programs and initiatives to promote clinical outcomes and nursing excellence. 

Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Surgical NICU - Philadelphia, PA
This leading academic children’s hospital in the eastern United States has a great opportunity for an acute care certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) in their Surgical Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This recently created specialized team is solely devoted to caring for infants from around the world who need surgical intervention. As the PNP or NNP in the Surgical NICU, you will be a member of the team that provides seamless care to infants with birth defects such as congenital diaphragmatic hernia, lung lesion, omphalocele and gastroschisis as well as fetal surgery patients. You will be involved in patient care, education, program development, consultation and research with exposure to a high volume of complex surgical neonates and fetal surgery patients in this large Level III NICU.

Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, CVICU  - Orange, CA
This leading children’s hospital on the West coast has an opportunity for a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join their cardiology team as the PNP in their Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit.  The advanced practice provider in this role is a clinical expert in the management of expert care for pediatric patients with congenital or acquired heart disease and their families.  The Nurse Practitioner in this 12 bed CVICU plans, implements and monitors plans of care for their critically ill patients.  They order and interpret laboratory and radiographic tests in addition to performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.  All of the CVICU rooms have the leading-edge technology needed to meet the demands of monitoring children with critical care needs after complex surgeries.  The clinical specialist Pediatric Nurse Practitioner uses their experience and excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally and collaboratively with patients, families, staff, physicians and health care providers from other departments.

Director, Pediatric Emergency Services - Southwest Region
The nurse leader who is a visionary with experience advocating for an environment that promotes high patient care standards is a strong candidate for the position of Director of Emergency Services at this leading children’s hospital.  The Director in this role is responsible for managing patient care, and oversees nursing/staff practice, manages personnel and overall staff development in this fast-paced Level II Trauma Center.  They have management authority, accountability and responsibility within the Emergency Department, including monitoring financial performance.  They demonstrate sound clinical judgment in emergency medicine, and they promote teamwork, professionalism and appropriate decision-making based on evidence-based practice.  The Director in this role is a highly experienced, progressive nursing leader with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.  This is a full-time position that reports to the Vice President of Nursing Services.

Neonatal Nurse Practitioner - Trenton, Michigan
If you are a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner with experience in Neonatal Intensive Care, we have a great opportunity for you to join the NICU team at the suburban location of this leading hospital in the Midwestern U.S.   The NNP in this role is responsible for the direct patient care of newborns and premature infants with complex critical care needs.   Responsibilities of the NNP include assessment, plans of care, evaluation, documentation and family education and support.   Reporting to the doctor on call, the NNP attends deliveries, cares for babies in the newborn nursery and arranges transfers of babies with complex care needs to the higher level critical care NICU as needed.   Their multidisciplinary team is committed to providing exceptional patient care for infants and their families.
