As the PNP or NNP in the Surgical NICU, you will be a member of the team that provides seamless care to infants with birth defects such as congenital diaphragmatic hernia, lung lesion, omphalocele and gastroschisis as well as fetal surgery patients. The Nurse Practitioner in this 12 bed CVICU plans, implements and monitors plans of care for their critically ill patients. They order and interpret laboratory and radiographic tests in addition to performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. All of the CVICU rooms have the leading-edge technology needed to meet the demands of monitoring children with critical care needs after complex surgeries.
