Join this leading academic children’s hospital as the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in their Gastroenterology Inflammatory Bowel Disease Unit where children with serious digestive disorders are treated.  The Advanced Practice Practitioner in this role is responsible for the care and management of pediatric patients with GI Inflammatory Bowel Disease, including inpatient and outpatient care.  Responsibilities of the PNP in this GI specialty services area include histories and physicals, plans of care, wound/ostomy care and managing the entire patient course in collaboration with the attending.  In addition, the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner initiates referrals and follow-up on consults to other providers. With responsibility for coordinating various support groups and conferences and identifying patients for ongoing clinical trials, the PNP in GI Inflammatory Bowel Disease contributes to the overall continuing recovery of the patients.
