Health Care Accreditation and Compliance

The continuing emphasis on compliance in the health care industry has created tremendous employment opportunities for leaders with experience and education in health care accreditation and compliance.  Managers in this role are primarily responsible for managing and leading the compliance function in a health care institution or facility.  They provide survey leadership and project management for compliance surveys such as The Joint Commission survey that measures an organization’s commitment to meeting certain performance standards that include providing the safest, highest quality and best value health care available.

Compliance managers may be brought into healthcare organizations to develop, implement and establish standards and procedures in a new compliance program, or they may be assigned to lead a program that’s already in place, recommending changes, updates and revision where necessary to ensure compliance.  A proven manager with excellent project management skills and experience in maintaining, managing and leading health care compliance programs is the perfect candidate for positions such as these.  They are committed to maintaining current knowledge of accreditation, regulatory compliance and licensure requirements for the organization, and sharing that information with all employees to create an awareness of what is necessary for a successful compliance program.
