The acute care certified pediatric nurse practitioner with clinical and research experience is a strong candidate for this new position of Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Oncology Research and Developmental Therapeutics at this leading academic children’s hospital.  The acute care Research PNP in this position is responsible for the clinical care and care coordination of children enrolled in clinical research trials.  Responsibilities are diverse and include many roles - practitioner, researcher, educator and consultant.  The practitioner provides nursing care that includes assessment and diagnosis of clinical trial inpatients and outpatients including clinical/protocol rounds, scheduling study-related tests and reviewing progress notes and assessments for protocol compliance.  They prescribe medications, write orders for investigation drugs and perform blood draws, administer investigative medications, perform bone marrow aspiration/biopsies and administer chemotherapy.  They provide patient and family education on treatment management, evaluation and follow-up.

Join this leading academic center children’s hospital in the Pacific Northwest as the Director of Critical Care Medicine.  The Director in this role is responsible for the overall operational management of their three state-of-the-art Critical Care units, Pediatric (PICU), Cardiac (CICU) and Neonatal NICU) with a combined total of 56 beds.  These three units have teams of experts who care for children with life-threatening conditions – a premature or seriously ill newborn, a patient with a cardiac condition or a child with a sudden illness or injury.

This is a great opportunity for an RN with experience in Infectious Disease Control to join this leading children’s hospital in the Western U.S.  Reporting to the Clinical Manager of Infection Prevention and Epidemiology, the nurse leader in the role of Infection Preventionist is responsible for maintaining an environment that promotes effective infectious disease prevention and control within the hospital for patients, visitors and staff. They conduct organization-wide surveillance, monitor the environment for infection prevention and control risks, and report communicable diseases to public health.  In addition, the Preventionist directs and coordinates all infection prevention and control programs, compiles data, issues reports, implements and enforces policies and assures compliance with regulatory agencies.   A candidate with RN educator experience is a plus as they will provide in-service programs and education for staff, physicians, patients and their families.
