We have a new opportunity at this leading academic children’s hospital for a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner working with patients ranging in age from 0-21 in their Lung Transplant Program.  The PNP in this role provides primary care or acute/chronic health care to patients who are preparing for, undergoing or recovering from lung transplant.  Specific skills and responsibilities of the PNP in Lung Transplant include physical assessment, diagnosis, well child care, management of illness, leadership, consultation, research and teaching.

Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, PICU and CICU - Durham, NC
Multiple Openings! Join this world-class academic center children's hospital in the Southeastern United States as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in their PICU and CICU Units. Reporting to the Advanced Clinical Practice Department, the experienced PNP in this full-time critical care position provides direct clinical care for patients with life threatening illness or injuries, aged 0-21, in the 16 bed PICU and the 13 bed CICU.  In collaboration with the attending PICU physician, responsibilities include but are not limited to physical exams, data collection and documentation, conducting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ordering lab studies, prescribing interventions and medications and scheduling consultations in addition to daily rounds.  These state-of-the-art critical care units offer ECMO, high frequency ventilation, nitric oxide therapy, non-invasive ventilation and hyperbaric oxygen therapy in addition to other critical care services.

This leading children’s hospital on the West coast has an opportunity for a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join their cardiology team as the PNP in their Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit.  The advanced practice provider in this role is a clinical expert in the management of expert care for pediatric patients with congenital or acquired heart disease and their families.  The Nurse Practitioner in this 12 bed CVICU plans, implements and monitors plans of care for their critically ill patients.  They order and interpret laboratory and radiographic tests in addition to performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.  All of the CVICU rooms have the leading-edge technology needed to meet the demands of monitoring children with critical care needs after complex surgeries.  The clinical specialist Pediatric Nurse Practitioner uses their experience and excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally and collaboratively with patients, families, staff, physicians and health care providers from other departments.

Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, PICU - Dallas/Plano, TX

Join this leading academic center children's hospital as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in their Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.  The PICU has 22 intensive care beds, all of which are in single rooms.  The Advanced Practice Provider is a member of the PICU team that admits a variety of medical, surgical, neonatal and pediatric patients, and emphasizes the care of patients with cardiopulmonary and surgical problems including septic shock, acute lung injury, trauma, cardiac disease, gastrointestinal surgery, oncology, neurological disorders, ingestions, renal disease, liver disease, endocrine disorders, and hepatic, renal, heart and bone marrow transplantation. They provide active pediatric/neonatal ECMO (25-30 cases per year), high frequency oscillatory ventilation, nitric oxide, flexible bronchoscopy and pediatric transport services.  They are a leader in the development of novel therapeutics for sepsis and ventilation/oxygenation support services (VOSS).
