It provides the specialized, state-of-the-art medical care required by critically ill newborns and premature infants with complex medical/surgical care needs, some of whom may be recovering from highly complex surgery. The NNP uses their special training and experience to deliver specialized, family-centered direct patient care to these newborn infants.
