Patients cared for include patients receiving chemotherapy, acute exacerbations of chronic disease, and those with complications such as fever and neutropenia or excessive nausea/vomiting.

Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Cardiomyopathy, PNP - Cincinnati, OH
This leading academic children’s hospital has a position for a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in their Heart Institute caring for children and young adults who have been diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy, a disease that causes the heart muscle to become weakened and enlarged, affecting efficient blood flow into and out of the heart. The Advanced Practice Nurse in this role is skilled in physical assessment, diagnosis, well-child care and management of illness, leadership, consultation, research and teaching. They provide primary or acute/chronic health care, including clinical management, for Cardiomyopathy patients. The PNP in Cardiomyopathy uses their clinical expertise to collect data necessary for assessment, diagnosis and creating plans of patient care. They evaluate the diagnosis and effectiveness of interventions and treatment, and develop outcomes as measurable goals, subject to revision as necessary during the course of treatment.
