Here is some great information about the Kansas City from a manager at the children's hospital. She said that there are many suburbs of downtown Kansas City where people enjoy living. Some of the areas recommended to live in are Prairie Village, Leawood, and Overland Park. Folks really live all over the metro. In regards to interesting areas of Kansas City the Plaza is always popular and has lots of fountains, restaurants and shopping. It’s at 47th Street which is 20 blocks from the hospital. Brookside is probably one of her favorite area of Kansas City where the shops are independently owned and unique. The homes in the area were built in the 1940-1950’s and are well kept it is definitely a nice, fun area of Kansas City.
