We have openings for Advanced Practice Nurses (APRN) in the following areas:

Cardiothoracic

The Mid-level Practitioner works with the cardiothoracic service. More than 150 surgical procedures are performed on newborns, infants and children at Connecticut Children's Medical Center each year. The entire spectrum of congenital cardiac operations are performed.

Inpatient Medical Surgical Team
The Mid-level Practitioner (PA or APRN) is accountable for delivering comprehensive quality patient care, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions according to standards of practice for the pediatric inpatient, from infancy through adolescence.

PICU
Under the supervision of the attending physicians in the PICU, the Mid-level Practitioners serve as an integral member of the PICU Healthcare Team. They are also intimately involved in patient/ family education and support, medical and nursing staff education, performance improvement activities, and clinical research.

Sedation (Radiology)
This Advanced Practitioner will provide direct patient care to children requiring sedation and/or analgesia in the Department of Radiology.
