Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Cardiomyopathy - Cincinnati, OH
This leading academic children’s hospital has a position for a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in their Heart Institute caring for children and young adults who have been diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy, a disease that causes the heart muscle to become weakened and enlarged, affecting efficient blood flow into and out of the heart. The Advanced Practice Nurse in this role is skilled in physical assessment, diagnosis, well-child care and management of illness, leadership, consultation, research and teaching. They provide primary or acute/chronic health care, including clinical management, for Cardiomyopathy patients. The PNP in Cardiomyopathy uses their clinical expertise to collect data necessary for assessment, diagnosis and creating plans of patient care. They evaluate the diagnosis and effectiveness of interventions and treatment, and develop outcomes as measurable goals, subject to revision as necessary during the course of treatment.

The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Cardiac Step Down will be a member of the incredible interdisciplinary team that cares for high-risk cardiac patients and their families, treating infants, children and young adults. The Cardiac Step Down Unit provides state-of-the-art care for pediatric patients who are seriously ill but require less than intensive care. They are patients recovering from heart surgery or cardiac catheterization, patients on IV medications following transplant, and patients experiencing arrhythmia or children who are receiving non-surgical treatments for various cardiac conditions.

Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) - Philadelphia, PA
If you are an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, there is a wonderful opportunity for you to join the team that provides state-of-the-art comprehensive care for their tiny newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of this leading children’s hospital in the Mid-Atlantic region of the U.S. Using your special training in neonatal nursing, you will be responsible for the critical evaluation of newborns in the unit. Providing clinical management under the direction of the attending neonatologist, the NNP in the NICU will be responsible for assessment, development and implementation of plans (writing orders and performing procedures), evaluation and documentation. Additional roles include providing education and support to patient families, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams on plans of care and providing staff education and clinical consultation to the interdisciplinary team.

Here’s a great opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Center that provides care for infants, children and adolescents with leukemia, lymphoma and other childhood cancers at this leading children’s hospital. The RN this role provides professional outpatient nursing care through assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care while maintaining a safe work environment. This is a part-time position for the RN to work three days a week with an Oncology Physician from 8AM to 5 PM.
